JF&CS @ 150

Always there

Working with Jewish Family & Child Services for the past several years to write and design their Annual Report has always been a privilege, but I knew this one was going to be special.

To mark 150 years of ‘always being there’ for Toronto’s Jewish (and larger) community, for this year’s edition the organization decided to profile four community members who had benefited from JF&CS services over the decades, starting with Holocaust survivor and war orphan Max Eisen in the 1940’s.

As I interviewed each of these incredible people

I was moved by their incredible stories of resilience and giving back after having been helped in their time of need.
