Family doctors too often miss the tell-tale craclking sound indicative of pulmonary fibrosis when they listen to a patient’s lungs, leading to years of lost treatment time as patients cycle uselessly through misdiagnosis of their shortness of breath and persistent cough symptoms. What to do? The Tackle the Crackle campaign is raising awarenesws of this key symptom among general practioners and the public. Social media campaigns included a TikTok video designed to catch people’s attention.
