THE CHALLENGE

Facing a looming ‘silver tsunami’ of Building Official retirements threatening Ontario‘s multi-billion dollar construction sector, the OBOA needed to raise the profile of their vital yet under-the-radar profession to attract new recruits.

 

APPROACH

After learning all about the essential role Building Officials play in the economy and in protecting public health and safety, we worked with the OBOA board and staff to craft our strategic marketing plan of attack. The goal: transform this venerable organization into a powerhouse brand. Step by step, we are building a solid foundation for the profession through targeted outreach initiatives, an enhanced industry presence, and an improved member experience.

 

RESULTS

As a multi-year project with a diversity of objectives and audiences, our work with the OBOA continues. Above, students at the OBOA’s 2018 annual conference taking in messaging crafted with them in mind.
