When Ernestine’s Women’s Shelter asked me to rebrand their organization I started by asking questions. My first question – who is Ernestine? Ernestine Van Marle was a pillar of the community and a tireless advocate for women and children. I suggested creating a ‘mascot’ character for the shelter. “Little Ernestine” become the ‘spokesperson’ for the shelter as the face Ernestine’s Twitter account, and is on standby to lend a helping hand whenever she can as Ernestine’s Stands Up for Women and Protects Children.
